Interview with mother of Khaled Islambouli, Qadariya Islambouli.
Shahid Khalid Islambouli was one of the revolutionaries who planned the assassination of Muhammad Anwar Sadat. This plan was implemented on the 6th of October, 1981. He aided in the attack along with other revolutionaries, such as Shahids ‘Abd al-Hamid, ‘Abd al-Salam, ‘Abd al-‘Al, Hussayn ‘Abbas Muhammad, and Muhammad ‘Abd al-Salam Faraj.
Anwar Sadat was transformed into one of Israel’s allies when he cooperated with that regime and singed the peace treaty at Camp David. This enraged the religious youth in Egypt. After Sadat was assassinated, Muhammad Hosni Mubarak, his secretary, was chosen as the president of Egypt.
Shahid Khalid Islambouli was executed along with his fellow revolutionaries on April 15th, 1982.
